About Marcia
Marcia Spindell’s infectious enthusiasm for life and for helping others serves her well as a Life and Business Coach. Marcia believes that each person can achieve a meaningful and successful life by honoring personal values and by staying focused on clearly defined goals. Whether working as a Coach or Expressive Therapist, Marcia is adept at helping clients call upon their creative resources to discover solutions that will work for them.
Marcia’s coaching skills are rooted in her ability to help clients identify and evaluate their most important values and priorities. She champions and challenges them to take responsibility for action plans that will lead to success.
Ms. Spindell’s Life and Business Coaching practice builds upon 30 years’ experience as a teacher, a researcher, and an administrator; as well as being a Dance Movement Therapist, a Group Psychotherapist, and a certified counselor. She combines empathy with objective assessment, passion with being practical, and process with outcomes.
The Center for Life and Business Coaching is a subsidiary of Expressive Therapies Center, a non-profit human service agency that provides educational and therapeutic services for community agencies, hospitals and schools. She co-established the first ETC in Israel in 1981 and the Rhode Island company in 1983. Among the programs she designed is Rejuvenations, an Expressive Arts Therapy program for high risk children. Along with her coaching, Ms. Spindell continues to provide therapy at the Eleanor Slater Hospital in Cranston, RI. Her work as a coach and therapist are based on co-creating for the purpose of gaining clarity and honoring health, body, mind, and spirit while being productive!
A graduate of Brown University, Providence RI and of New York University, New York, New York, Marcia is certified as a professional coach with the Coaches Training Institute and in the DASH system of coaching. She is certified by the American Dance Therapy Association, The National Board of Certified Counselors, The American Group of Psychotherapy Association and the National Association of Group Therapy. She lives in Providence, RI with her husband and two teenage sons. |
